Dorchester Eagles On The Way Back!

The Dorchester Eagles Pop Warner organization has recieved partial reinstatement by Pop Warner Little Scholars recently to participate in postseason games. The perennial football powerhouse Eagles teams will now be eligible to fight for the Greater Boston, Massachusetts, New England, and National titles held annually in Florida, in the Jr. Midget,Pee Wee,and Jr. Pee Wee divisions. The Midget team, which are the oldest players will become eligible in 2011.
The Eagles were originally banned for 3 seasons as a result of an altercation the Midget team had with the Edgewood (R.I.) Eagles Midget team at Walt Disney World in Orlando Fla. in December 2008 ,while participating in the National Championships. Subsequently, our local team received an unfair, and extremely harsh punishment, while the team from Cranston ,R.I. only received probation and was never banned from postseason play.
Now,18 months later after protesting, hardwork, and an undying quest to get back on track, the Eagles are preparing for a strong 2010 season. Registration is coming up very soon while hope and moral throughout the entire organization is at an alltime high.
Sonofcodmansquare.com continues to support the Dorchester Eagles organization and offers congratulations to all who helped in turning things around for our community's children!
