Hello Everyone,first of all let me be the first to call it "The Shot Heard Round The Bury". With time running out and New Mission High down by 2 points,senior point guard Osmel Odena launched a 3 point jumper in traffic to propel the Titans to a heartpounding victory versus East Boston High. When it was all over dozens of New Mission fans rushed the court floor in their excitement! The game,played at Madison Park High School was the epitome of a slugfest. Both teams enjoyed great regular seasons and had high hopes coming into this tournament. Both squads are filled with talented, gritty players who had to be separated and warned by the referees throughout the game. In addition,the teams are no strangers to each other as the Jets of Eastie won an earlier contest in January by 2 points.
The New Mission Titans now move on to Friday's Boston City Championship game versus Madison Park who defeated English High in the 4pm game.
