Fenway Girls Move On!

Fenway High Girls hoop squad took a 25 point lead into the locker room at the half last night as they cruised to a 65-49 victory over Whittier Tech in Billerica. The Lady Panthers, led by Kaila Duarte (top picture below) were just too tough for Whittier and scored 13 unanswered points to start the game. Fenway was in control of this game throughout,and proved to be totally dominant on the defensive end as well as the boards. Even during Fenway's somewhat cold shooting period in the 3rd quarter,Whittier was never able to keep Fenway from getting offensive rebounds and converting them into easy layups. Congrats to the ladies from Fenway High as they move on to a weekend contest at the Tsongas Arena in Lowell this weekend in search of a Miaa Division 4 North crown.
